Ziggy's Caribbean Cuisine started as a food truck and has grown into one of Minot's most-loved spots, serving fresh, made-to-order Jamaican cooking. This family-owned restaurant invites Minot to "taste the island breeze." The jerk chicken has a rich, smoky flavor, the oxtail is fall-off-the-bone tender, and the beef patties have a flaky, buttery crust that's authentically Jamaican.  

All meals come with rice and peas, cabbage, and plantains, and the fresh vegetable, cucumber, and beet juices are also worth a try. Portions at Ziggy's are generous, and the food holds up well on the way home. They're open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Lucky Bowl, formerly Thai Hot 2, is a small downtown spot with a loyal following for make-your-own poke bowls and sushi-grade fish. The Miami Cuban is a stack of roast pork, sweet ham, cheese, and pickles, while the BEAST piles on roast beef, turkey, bacon, cheese, fries, and their famous City Sauce. Don't miss their secret menu, which includes the Fidel, a spicier version of their Cuban, a beef dip hoagie served with au jus, and a corned beef Reuben, along with many other sandwiches not on their standard menu.

Sammy's Pizza has been a Minot institution since 1959, and it's one of the few local pizza spots that delivers in addition to offering takeout and dine-in.
